DESCARRILAO
Descarrilao is a bilingual Salsa Dura Rock band performing original compositions and reimagined covers. Their sound is rooted in traditional Afro-Caribbean rythms. Their style, is a reflection of today’s multicultural and multidimensional fusion of American Latinx music en Nueva York.
“La Malanga” off their debut album “Grupo Descarrilao” has been heard on stations like KEXP- Seattle “El Sondido” with DJ Chilly, WMNF – Tampa “Latin Jazz & Salsa” with DJ “Speedy” Gonzalez and on “Charanga y Son” UIE Estereo – Bucaramanga, Colombia.
COMBO LULO
Combo Lulo moves side to side from effortless Jamaican foundation rhythms into the further reaches of Caribbean influence…incorporating a natural transition between Jamaican classics and the essence of Afro-Latin ritmo.
Adrian Is Hungry
Adrian is Hungry is a Colombian artist based in Brooklyn, NY.
He’s been collecting and sharing rare tropical and vintage afro-root sounds from Colombia, New York, Peru, Venezuela, the Antilles, Africa and more for the past couple of years in Brooklyn. He has made people dance in places like Lovers Rock in Brooklyn, Meteoro in Barcelona, Brilliant Corners in London, and SoHo House in Manhattan. A traveler and cultural anthropologist at heart, he’s been exploring and rediscovering his cultural identity through music research and curation.
He’s known for making your tia go wild with the tunes that bring her back to her youth, when she would sneak out the window to go dance with her friends from the block, sweat until the tile floor was slippery.
